Donating to your parish church
Our church buildings are hundreds of years old and require a lot of upkeep and repairs. Much of this is done freely by volunteers, especially our churchwardens and congregations, but help with funds is always welcome and will be put to good use to maintain our churches for our generation and those that come after us, to be a place of Christian worship and service for our local communities. Any contribution, however small, is thankfully received.
Collections are made at most services but if you would like to know more giving about a regular monthly contribution please contact us.
If you would like to donate to your parish church securely online or by text, please find the details below.
If you are a UK taxpayer the Church can reclaim Gift Aid on your donation, as income tax which has been paid on donations to churches can be recovered from HMRC. Gift Aid can apply to donations of any amount, large or small, by cash, cheque, postal order, direct debit, standing order, debit or credit card or even in a foreign currency (including the Euro). If you are a UK taxpayer, all you have to do is give the Church a simple Gift Aid declaration. This might involve completing a short form (available here in word or PDF) or just giving basic details to the Church over the phone or the Internet.
What's more, one single Gift Aid declaration can apply to all past donations you have made over the past 4 years and to all future donations you make. If you are a higher rate taxpayer looking to reclaim tax from your donation, all you have to do is remember to include details of your charitable gifts on your tax form
